Dr Leah Miano moves to Actionaid International as head of technology

She has built a two decade career in IT and has an expansive skillset in digital transformation and strategy, technology innovation and strategic leadership.

Dr. Leah Miano has been appointed as Actionaid International’s  new head of technology.

She joins the humanitarian organisation after a four year stint at the Universities Fund where she was the head of ICT. 

With experience driving in digital transformation and strategy, Leah is expected to lead Actionaid’s technology direction in line with the organisation’s mission.

She started her career at Shelter Afrique where she was an ICT assistant close to two decades ago before moving to Benchmark Distributors as a systems administrator. 

Leah has also worked with International Peace Support Training Centre as head of ICT and as the senior database administrator at Britam. 

She holds a PhD in Strategic Management from Kenya Methodist University, an MBA in strategic management and finance from Daystar University, and a BSc in software engineering from Kenyatta University.
