Joel Busienei has taken over as Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) Kenya’s new head of IT.
He brings over two decades of ICT leadership to DIB Kenya, having worked in the telecommunications and banking sectors.
Joel began his career at Liam Telecommunications, where he was a network technician before joining Telecom Kenya as a support engineer. His entry to the banking sector was through Commercial Bank of Africa (CBA) where he joined as a senior network support specialist in 2008 and moved up the ranks to become the bank’s head of IT infrastructure in 2017. After leaving CBA, he went on to join NCBA and Equity Bank still as head of IT infrastructure. Before joining DIB, Joel was the head of ICT at Consolidated Bank of Kenya
