Sulaiman Mugalasi is the chief information officer at Airtel Money, Uganda.
Sulaiman’s journey started in 2011 as a network support engineer at Smile Communication In Kampala. From there, he moved through a series of network and operations roles at Quintica Uganda before moving to Quintica Kenya in 2013 as a group IT manager.
In 2015 he joined Jasco Enterprise as the operations and service delivery manager. After a one year stint he returned to Uganda to join dfcu Bank as the manager, applications and IT service delivery before moving up the ladder to manager.
Sulaiman has also worked with KCB Bank Uganda, first as senior manager, systems architect and product development, before being promoted to head, information technology, later that year.
He holds a Bachelor's degree in IT and an MBA in entrepreneurship and leadership, both from Amity University in India. He is currently pursuing a PhDin technology management in strategic engineering leadership and innovation at Guglielmo Marconi University in Italy.
Sulaiman also holds several professional certifications, including ITIL Foundation V3, PRINCE2 Foundation, CCNA and CCNP from Cisco, and MCSE, MCSA and MCP from Microsoft.
