Noelah Lugongo is the head of operations and technology at Ecobank Tanzania.
She leads the bank’s operations and technology agenda, overseeing service delivery, systems efficiency, risk management and the integration of technology into core banking operations.
Since assuming this role in April 2022, Noelah has been responsible for driving operational excellence and overseeing the bank’s technology-enabled processes across the organisation.
Prior to this appointment, she served as head of internal audit at Ecobank Tanzania, where she provided independent oversight on risk, controls and governance.
Earlier, Noelah worked as a senior internal auditor at Ecobank Tanzania, where she conducted risk-based audits and supported the evaluation of internal systems and processes.
Before joining Ecobank, she worked at KPMG East Africa as a senior auditor, providing audit and advisory services across various sectors. She began her career at Deloitte, where she spent over four years as an audit senior, building a strong foundation in financial reporting, audit and compliance.
Noelah is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and a certified public accountant in public practice (ACPA-PP). She holds a bachelor of accounting and finance from Mzumbe University and has also completed leadership development training at the Uongozi Institute.
