Nanungi Annet Kabuye is the head of ICT at the Joint Clinical Research Centre (JCRC) in Uganda.
She started her career in 2016 as a help desk specialist at the Makerere University Walter Reed Project (MUWRP), where she managed IT assets, network infrastructure and disaster recovery planning before being promoted to ICT service analyst in 2018.
In 2019, she joined the Infectious Diseases Institute (IDI) as a junior systems administrator. After a brief sabbatical to complete her Master’s degree in 2020, she returned to IDI as a software developer and project manager in 2021, a role she held till 2024 when she left to join the Joint Clinical Research Centre as head of ICT, a role she continues to hold today.
Annet holds an MsC in advanced computer science, majoring in cybersecurity and software engineering, from the University of Manchester, and a BsC in computer engineering from Makerere University.
She is also a professional member of ISACA and an active participant in its Kampala chapter.
