Geoffrey Andima is the country head of information technology at Old Mutual Uganda, a position he has held since March 2024. He oversees the ICT department across Old Mutual Investment Group, Old Mutual Life Assurance and Old Mutual General Insurance/Medical. He also sits on the executive management team.
Geoffrey joined Old Mutual Uganda in October 2022 as lead infrastructure and end user support, and served as acting country head of ICT from September 2023 before being confirmed in the role.
Before that, he spent close to seven years at Uganda Clays Limited, starting as ICT officer in February 2016. He was appointed acting ICT manager in November 2019 and confirmed as ICT manager in September 2020, a role he held until October 2022.
Geoffrey began his ICT career in systems administration, joining Intelligent Solutions UG as a network and systems administrator in February 2011. He moved to TOTAL E&P Uganda in October 2012 as a resident ICT systems engineer, working on contract through SYBYL, before joining SYBYL directly as a senior technical support engineer in October 2014.
He holds an MSc in data communication and software engineering and a BSc in computer science, both from Makerere University. He has also completed a strategic leadership and management specialisation at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a data analyst nanodegree with Udacity. Geoffrey holds certifications including a Certified Professional Ethical Hacker, Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate, Sophos Certified Administrator – XG Firewall and ITIL Foundations.
