Erick Ngwiri is the director of global data and analytics at Catholic Relief Services (CRS).
He began his career in 2009 as a web developer and systems analyst at Kimetrica LLC, rising through the ranks over seven years to head of business analysis service and acting head of business development. In 2016, he joined Heifer International as a senior business analyst, leading global technology integrations across more than 30 countries. He then moved to Ona Systems in 2017, where he led high-impact data projects for major UN agencies and NGOs, first as director of client solutions, then as vice president of data solutions.
Since 2021, Erick has served in a global leadership role at CRS, where he drives enterprise-wide data strategy, responsible AI adoption, and analytics transformation for one of the world’s largest humanitarian organisations. He also co-leads major initiatives such as Analytics for Impact and Dioptra, and has played a key role in deploying real-time analytics infrastructure and governance frameworks across CRS operations.
Erick holds an MSc in information systems and management from Warwick Business School (UK) and a bachelor’s degree in business information technology from Strathmore University in Kenya. He is certified in project management, digital leadership, and Oracle Fusion Analytics, and has served as a technical advisor and lecturer in global development and data systems.
