Dominic Kebenei is the group head of ICT at ABM Group.
He oversees technology and ICT operations across the group, which includes Associated Battery Manufacturers and Chloride Exide operations in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. His role focuses on developing and executing the group’s IT strategy, driving digital transformation and strengthening cybersecurity frameworks across the business.
Before joining ABM, Dominic was head of ICT at Savannah Cement, where he led all IT functions, including digital transformation, automation and innovation. His work covered data centre management, application development, disaster recovery planning and vendor relationships, while managing the department’s operating budget and overall performance.
He previously served as ICT manager at Savannah Cement, supporting IT operations and infrastructure across the business.
Earlier in his career, Dominic worked at The Standard Group as a senior business systems analyst, where he was involved in project management, systems implementation, integrations and change management.
He also worked as a senior software engineer and database administrator at Techno Brain, focusing on systems development, implementation and database administration.
Dominic began his career at Equity Bank as a systems developer, where he worked on system development, support and requirements analysis.
