Brian Mwine Rutebemberwa is the CISO at NCBA Bank, Uganda.
Before joining NCBA he was a senior ICT consultant at Cites Consultancy between January 2023 and October 2026.
He began his career at Kinyara Sugar Works in September 1998 as a senior database and systems administrator. Over the course of seven years he was promoted to IT manager. He then joined Warid Telecom Uganda in 2007 as the ERP assistant manager. After a two year stint he moved to Vivacell Telecom where he was a programmer and systems analyst.
Brian also spent close to a decade at FINCA Network Support B.V. (Africa) as global database administrator and information security analyst, from November 2012 to July 2022. He later joined Stanbic Group FlyHub as a cloud engineer for six months before moving to Cites in 2023 where he worked as a senior ICT consultant before joining NCBA Uganda.
He holds a Bachelor of engineering in electronic and computer engineering from the University of Leeds, and a Master's degree in computer and information security from the University of Liverpool.
