Amon Ngechu is chief technology officer for LOOP DFS, NCBA since July 2021. He joined NCBA after 15 years at Safaricom, where he rose through a series of senior technology and leadership roles including senior manager for financial systems support on Mpesa and then senior manager, financial solutions for Mpesa.
Before that, Amon held a series of roles spanning customer systems and information systems operations still at Safaricom.
Earlier in his career, he was a senior systems analyst and developer at Telkom Kenya which he joined after leaving his systems developer role at Informatica where his career began.
Amon holds an MSc and a BSc in computer science from the University of Nairobi. He also holds a higher national diploma in information systems from Strathmore College.
