Aggrey Nkuyahaga is the head of change and digital transformation at Housing Finance Bank.
He began his career as a banking officer at Allied Bank International in 1997, where he helped implement a new core banking system. Since then, he has built a career spanning over 25 years across financial services, the UN, and the oil & gas industry.
Aggrey has held senior leadership roles at Housing Finance Bank, DFCU Bank, and Barclays Africa, in roles that include core banking upgrades, digital lending platforms, mobile banking innovation, and automation of treasury and reconciliation processes. He has also provided regional oversight of IT audit functions in 12 African countries while at Barclays, strengthening IT governance, cybersecurity, and risk frameworks.
Aggrey studied statistics at Makerere University before pursuing postgraduate and Master’s degrees in computer science at the same institution. He also holds multiple professional certifications in project management, IT governance, audit, and service management.
